| BOTTISHAM v. BURWELL CHALLENGE SHIELDThe two gardening clubs have been holding this bi-annual competition (home and away) since 1981, competing for the Bottisham & Burwell Gardening Challenge Shield. Members bring along their best offerings – anything grown in the garden, greenhouse or house, fruit, flower, houseplant, or vegetable, exotic or native. The best five entries from each club are selected and an independent judge awards up to 20 points for each entry. This is a light-hearted friendly competition, with a quiz and buffet supper.
